Asad holds both BS and MS degrees in Computer Science from Shah Abdul Latif University. His early research contributed to the development of a flood monitoring system using Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), reflecting an enduring interest in applying science and technology to real-world challenges, particularly in disaster risk reduction and public safety. His publications span a broad spectrum of emerging technologies, including the Internet of Things (IoT), cybersecurity, WSNs, and quantum information science.
Asad is associated with Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), SZAB Campus in Khairpur, where he plays a key role in supporting institutional digital infrastructure and enhancing laboratory systems for research and learning. He brings to this role a systems-thinking approach, grounded in both hands-on technical expertise and strategic foresight.
Beyond his academic and professional pursuits, Asad is a passionate advocate for youth development, education, and civic engagement. He co-founded the Rotaract Club of Khairpur in 2003 and has since held multiple leadership roles within Rotary International District 3271, championing community service and grassroots innovation. He has delivered workshops and keynote sessions through globally recognized platforms such as the Hult Prize, Google Developer Student Clubs, and Microsoft Student Branches, inspiring the next generation of changemakers.
