Nasreen Molla Adamjee

Dr. Nasreen Molla Adamjee is a seasoned public health practitioner of more than 20 years. She was raised in a family of distinguished physicians and researchers and consequently developed an early passion for medicine and public health. A graduate of Aga Khan University in 1993, Dr Nasreen Molla Adamjee has had a steadfast commitment to healthcare equity, and began her career at an international not-for-profit in the early 2000s, addressing critical healthcare disparities in Lyari. She played a pivotal role in conducting large household surveys in Lyari, and facilitating the establishment of the TB and MDR-TB programs at Indus Hospital— a contribution recognized by the WHO Green Light Committee. Expanding her expertise into clinical research, she led the Clinical Bupropion trial at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) in 2006. In 2010, she joined the London School for Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and completed her Masters in Public Health, Infectious Diseases in 2014. In 2015, she assumed the role of Director for Programs and Research at Harvard Medical School for Global Health Delivery-Dubai , where she managed multiple country grants, conducted several international workshops and lecturer and mentored students until the Center’s closure in 2020. In 2023, she was the Director of Strategy for South Asia at an international not-for-profit, reinforcing her dedication to global health. Currently, as the Founder and Director of Grassroots, Nasreen continues to advance equitable healthcare and develop impactful public health initiatives.
